Abstract

The purpose of this research was to Comparative study of leadership style in the Iranian Islamic Azad Universities and Universities of Canada. In this research, a comparative method with a combined approach (qualitative-quantitative) was used. the research tool in qualitative phase was semi - structured interviews with snowball technique and based on saturation rule, 19 people of the studied universities were selected as statistical samples and in the quantitative phase, a researcher-made questionnaire was used based on the data of the qualitative phase, and the statistical population included all the employees and faculty members of the studied universities, of which 250 people were selected by simple random sampling. Qualitative data analysis was done by analyzing the content of the interviews, coding and extracting codes and categories and identifying their relationship and using the Delphi technique. Finally, 72 concepts are classified in the form of 15 categories under the four styles of transformational, structure, servant and visionary leadership and inferential statistics were used for quantitative data analysis. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to investigate the relationship between the categories of the leadership styles model. Based on its results, the model for evaluating the structure of leadership styles of the studied universities had a suitable fit. One-sample t-test was used to check the university's attention to leadership styles. The findings showed that Canadian universities are more inclined towards transformational, Visionary and servant leadership styles, But Azad universities tend towards a structural leadership style.

Abstract [Persian]

هدف از پژوهش حاضر بررسی تطبیقی سبک رهبری در دانشگاه های آزاد اسلامی ایران و دانشگاههای کانادا بود. در این پژوهش، از روش تطبیقی با رویکرد ترکیبی (کیفی-کمی) استفاده شد. ابزار پژوهش در فاز کیفی مصاحبه نیمهساختاریافته بود که با تکنیک گلوله برفی و بر اساس قانون اشباع تعداد 19 نفر صاحب نظر از دانشگاه های موردمطالعه به‌عنوان نمونه آماری انتخاب شدند و در فاز کمی از پرسشنامه محقق ساخته براساس داده‌های فاز کیفی استفاده شد و جامعه آمار شامل تمامی کارکنان و اعضای هیئت‌علمی دانشگاه‌های موردمطالعه بود که 250 نفر به روش نمونه گیری تصادفی ساده انتخاب شده اند. تجزیه وتحلیل داده های کیفی به‌صورت تحلیل محتوای مصاحبه ها، کدگذاری و استخراج کدها و مقوله ها و شناسایی ارتباط آن‌ها و استفاده از تکنیک دلفی، انجام شد، که نهایتاً 72 مفهوم در قالب 15 مقوله در ذیل چهار سبک رهبری تحول گرا، ساختارساز، خدمتگزار و بصیر طبقه‌بندی‌شده‌اند و از آمار استنباطی برای تحلیل کمی داده ها استفاده گردید. برای بررسی رابطه بین مقوله های مدل سبک های رهبری از تحلیل عاملی تأییدی استفاده شد. براساس نتایج آن، مدل ارزیابی سازه های سبک های رهبری دانشگاه ها موردمطالعه از برازش مناسب برخوردار بود. برای بررسی میزان توجه دانشگاه به سبک های رهبری از آزمون t تک نمونه ای استفاده شد. یافته ها نشان داد دانشگاه های کانادایی بیشتر به سبک های رهبری تحول گرا، بصیر و خدمت‌گزار گرایش دارند، اما دانشگاه های آزاد به سبک رهبری ساختارساز گرایش دارند.
