Publication Ethics and Malpractice Statement

The Quarterly Journal of Iranian Journal of Comparative Education (ISSN:4989-2676 ) has been subjected to follow the publication principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) recommendation. All editorial members, reviewers and authors must confirm and obey rules defined by COPE.

Principles of the Journal

The publication aims to publish scientific and novel research articles, problem-oriented and innovative papers.

The author and the people working in the journal (editor of the journal, editorial staff, editor in chief and publisher) should accept and agree on the ethical roles and policy of the publication.

  The COPE's Code of Conduct is main editorial guide for writers and the agent.

Authors, Reviewers, editorial boards and editor-in-chiefs ought to know and commit all principles of research ethics and related responsibilities. Article submission, review of reviewers and editor-in-chief's acceptance or rejection, are considered as journals law compliance otherwise the journals have all the rights.

Publishing and Printing Decisions

Copyright laws and other literary works should be protected by the publication and the rights of individuals at the time of publication.

Note 1: Publishing an article is not known as acceptance of its contents by journal.

  Making Fair Decisions About Articles

Decision on articles at any stage regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnicity, citizenship or political philosophy of the writers.

Confidentiality of information

The personal information of the authors of the articles should be completely confidential for all persons who have access to it, such as the editor, the editorial staff, the internal and executive editorial staff, and other active agents, such as reviewers, advisers, editors and publisher of the depositor (other than the relevant author). Protection must be apply all the time.

Observe the interests of individuals

 The possibility of using the results of other people's research should be done with the written and explicit permission of the author.

The Reviewers Duties:

 1. Contribute to the Decision of the Editorial Board

 The reviewers help the editor of the journal in qualitative, content and scientific research, or through the communication of editorial staff with the author, in order to improve the quality and content of the articles.

2-Speed Action

 Selected reviewers should, after a preliminary examination, immediately announce to the editor in chief the outcome, such as: not being expert in field of subject matter, lack of time, or delay to judge the article due to lack of access to sufficient facilities or due to busy time and more…

3. Confidentiality of Information

 All information contained in the articles should be deemed to be a secret for referees and the referees seek to maintain it.

4-Providing Scientific and Clear Documentation and Arguments

The review of articles should be sufficiently clear on the basis of scientific evidence and reasoning, and these documents should be provided to publications as well as writers, and refrain from declaring personal, racial or religious opinions, etc., in arbitration.

5. Consider the sources used in the article

 The sources used in the article are other tasks of the reviewer. All researches, topics and citations used in the article should be completely listed in the bibliography.

 6. Non-review of articles for personal purposes

 Reviewers of articles that benefit the individuals, institutions and corporations through which personal relationships are observed, cannot be accepted for arbitration.

Writer's Duties

1- Presentation of scientific articles and standards

 The authors prepare the articles in a scientific and coherent manner in accordance with the standards of the journals. The method used in the paper should be accurate and objective and the data are reported accurately. Through full referral, the rights of other persons are respected in the article. Avoid expressing sensitive, intangible, personal, racial or religious, false or inaccurate information and translation of other works without mentioning the title in the article.

2. Provide raw data as needed

   The author will be asked to provide, if necessary, raw data, interviews or questionnaires and other tools used in their presented articles. Public access to this information (consistent with the ALPSP-STM statement) helps improve article work.

3. The originality of the paper presented

 Articles submitted by the authors should be the author of the paper and any other use of research by other sources should be mentioned in the article.

4-prohabited to submit a paper or article simultaneously to several publications

   Duplicate an article to several publications or published articles or admitted to other publications is against the rules.

5. Give proper referral

 Referral includes the listing of all books, newspapers and websites, and other research by individuals in the APA Style.

 The mention of the responsible person and colleagues in the article and the precision in the absence of unrelated names. The person responsible for the article has been the main contributor to the preparation, design and execution of the article, and other writers are mentioned as co-authors in the article. The author of the paper should be aware of the name and information of all the authors and the absence of a name other than ensure the authors of the paper, also the responsible author make sure that all the authors should study the paper and agree to its presentation.

 6-Inform about Potential Dangers for Humans or Other Living Creatures

  Any dangers that are discovered by humans or other entities through the research of each author should be clearly stated in the article.

7- Mention of financial support

  The authors should also submit all financial support for their paper.

 8- Announcement of fundamental errors in the articles

  .The author, whenever he finds any mistakes and falsity in his article, puts the journal in its agenda, reconsiders it and recovers the article

9- Plagiarism:

Plagiarism is the act of taking someone else's writing, conversation, idea, claims or even citations without any acknowledgment or explanation of the work producer or speaker.

10-Wrongful Appropriation:

 Wrongful appropriation occurs when author(s) benefits another person's efforts and after a little change and manipulations in the research work, publish it on his/her own definitions

11-False Attribution:

 It represents that a person is the author of a work but she/ he was not involved in the research.
