Abstract
This study presents a comparative analysis of business school curricula at the upper secondary level in Iran, Finland, and Poland, aiming to identify the educational shifts required to foster entrepreneurial competencies. Employing George Bereday’s four-stage comparative method—description, interpretation, juxtaposition, and comparison—the research examines these curricula through Akker’s ten fundamental elements. The analysis focuses on the transition from traditional, content-driven models toward competency-based, experiential learning frameworks. The findings reveal significant divergence: while the Finnish model integrates entrepreneurship as a transversal competency within a comprehensive educational framework, and the Polish model emphasizes practical management and market-oriented skills, the Iranian system remains predominantly theoretical and centralized. The study concludes by proposing a dual educational model for Iran—integrating general education with specialized business curricula—to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and entrepreneurial practice.
